Bin durch puren Zufall auf diese Gruppe gestoßen und seitdem hin und weg von ihrer Mukke. 
Lich King ist eine 2004 gegründete Metal Band aus Amherst, einer Kleinstadt in Massachusetts/USA. Als Resultat des immer noch stattfindenden Thrash Revivals ist ihre Musik ein Mix aus eingängigem, hardcorelastigem Oldschool Thrash Metal, einer an die Moderne angepassten Produktion und einer großen Portion Humor, was sich in ihren Texten und Titeln (zB. Black Metal Sucks) und allgemein ihrem Auftreten (siehe Line-Up/Hang zu Videospielen & Filmen) wiederspiegelt. Das driftet allerdings nie in in die Lächerlichkeit ab und die Mitglieder sind allesamt ernstzunehmende Musiker, die ein Talent dafür haben Killerriffs zu schreiben und für Fans dieser Musikrichtung unterhaltsame Musik zu produzieren, die einfach Spaß macht. Trotz ihrer durchaus hohen, spielerischen Klasse haben Sie in den Staaten bisher nur eine kleine Fanbasis und sind außerhalb davon fast gänzlich unbekannt. Es sind bereits 2 Alben erschienen und der nächste Streich soll schon dieses Jahr folgen und den Namen "World Gone Dead" tragen.

Once upon a time, Thor and He-Man were fighting. He-Man swung his sword of power and Thor met it with Mjolnir, his mighty hammer. The resulting lightningstorm killed them both, but from the blood and ozone and blackened bits of bone a new band was born. This would be the greatest thrash metal band in history. This is their tale. Then they wrote some songs and stuff, casting their spell upon the altar of steel. Gary Holt took a listen and his ears burst into flame. Billy Milano began weeping as he listened, and he threw himself from a bridge in despair. Jeff Hanneman listened to BUT ONE Lich King song and shook his head, then broke his guitar over one knee. He walked into a Staples and began filling out an application.
